![]() This year there is another sensation that has taken the country by storm in the race to become the winner of Britain’s Got Talent, but this year’s favourite to win (if Paddy Power’s odds are anything to go by) is also considered by some to be a world class talent. Susan Boyle is certainly the talk of the world with her performance on the UK talent show and if the press is to be believed there are even talks to make a film of her unlikely success. Susan Boyle for anyone who has been residing on another planet for the last few weeks is a rather dowdy (no offence meant) looking 47 year old lady who wowed the Britain’s Got Talent crowd and the watching TV audience with her performance of ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ from the hit stage show Les Miserable. The world was quick to catch on with famous fans being reported as Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher, Oprah Winfrey to name but a few. Paddy Power has all the latest odds and market to bet on and of course the most popular is going to be the outright winner. Paddy Power has Susan Boyle as the winner with odds of 8/15 with the rank outsider of Fabia Cerra with odds of 300/1. But Paddy Power being Paddy Power, they always have to give an alternative market and this time dear old Paddy Power could be barking completely up the wrong tree. Paddy Power have opened up a book on who will play the part of Susan Boyle in the film of her life, and quite outrageously they have the favourite as Catherine Zeta Jones with odds of 3/1. Now call us cynical if you like but we don’t think Paddy Power has thought this market out properly at all, or clearly the team at Paddy Power need to go to SpecSavers, and maybe their legal team as we fear that Catherine may not be too impressed!
